In metropolitan Sao Paulo it isn’t as evident, but in the outskirts of the city people still love and maintain classic Bugs, Santanas, Gols and so on. There is quite an aftermarket community at their disposal, but thats not something I’m completely interested in.

Yes, but it’s very easy to find, pot here is shit, I’ve heard so many stories of friends not handling american/EU pot well because they were not used to it. I don’t smoke pot often, twice a month max.

Champagne... I still have a hard time with it (funny for a french right?). That may also be because I’m used to middle range one too (like 20€ a bottle). But I had some amazing wines a couple weeks ago, back in New Caledonia, stuff like 20 year old Bordeaux grand cru <3

Ah, wine is always nice, having family from switzerland and being a smoker the Cheese+Wine+Cigarette combo always makes me feel nice (and french). I love Champagne and Rosé, mainly because you can control yourself better. 20 year old Bordeaux sounds great.

Probably new engine, thats the hardest one to find, transmissions are less rare, and interiors are not as hard to restore.

I’m eight there with you, except I don’t smoke. I’m missing French cheese so much here, it’s quite expensive to buy some here (it’s like 5 to 6 times more expensive than in France)

That particular Bordeaux was a Comtesse de Lalande. It was absolutely wonderful! And I went Wine tasting last Friday too, Kiwis know how to make good wine but it is flipping expensive... Good God I miss cheap and good wine. The best Rosé I ever had was a Cotes de Provence I bought in a winery that’s 1h30 away from Aix en Provence, and it was 9€ a bottle at the time

I’m contemplating taking enology classes in Provence during my vacations but my French is too rusty, not sure I’d fare well. I miss cheap good cheese, it’s really hard to find it here, anything imported is way overpriced, I miss my morning Camembert.

I’m pretty sure you could find places that do it in English, especially in the big wine regions. The biggest thing I’m missing now is a slab of Reblochon so that I can make a proper Tartiflette. And Comté (because I LOOOVE it), and Raclette, and cheap baguettes ($4.50 here in Auckland, can you believe that???), and I’ll stop now, because I miss too much stuff =D

Raclette is one thing I haven’t given up, I have 1o year old 8 person set that I’ll take to the grave, best thing when I want to have people over to talk and drink wine. Some Estepe, Brie and Raclette cheese, Quail eggs, Viande de grisons, pickles hmmm....

I miss french/swiss OJ, there is nothing quite like it.

I quite like a bottle of Veuve but usually go for one of the Lanson’s due to price, Veuve isn’t that much more expensive but for a drink in the morning after finishing a nightshift it’ll do. I enjoy a Henri Winterman’s cigar but with a coffee at work or with a nice Irish whiskey elsewhere.
